West Hills Region Comprehensive Plan Proposal
As a consultant with Stuart Group, I played a key role in the development of a proposal for a multi-municipal implementable comprehensive plan for the West Hills Region of Cambria County. My focus centered on designing a community engagement strategy that prioritized equitable outreach and local participation across diverse municipalities.
In collaboration with project partners, I helped craft a public involvement approach rooted in accessibility and creativity, incorporating focus groups, surveys, and non-traditional engagement methods tailored to reach underrepresented residents. I also provided local context to guide the development of customized municipal strategies and ensure alignment between regional planning goals and community priorities.
Our proposal emphasized implementability, fun graphics, equity, and collaborative planning, combining national expertise with on-the-ground insight.
Indiana Borough 2030 Comprehensive Plan
As part of the Indiana Borough Comprehensive Plan Update, I was responsible for creating a suite of detailed and visually engaging maps that translated complex planning concepts into accessible graphics for stakeholders and the public. These maps were designed to support key themes and strategies discussed in the plan, serving as both analytical tools and communication assets.
The featured maps focused on transportation within the Borough. One map displayed the local bus routes, illustrating transit access in this small college town. Another highlighted the proximity of a beloved regional trail, emphasizing its value as both a recreational and mobility asset. The largest map provided a comprehensive sidewalk condition inventory, helping to guide infrastructure maintenance and promote accountability. These graphics supported planning discussions and served as key tools for community engagement, helping residents and officials better understand and act on local transportation challenges.
