Braddock Place
Braddock Place is a design concept for a community center in the neighborhood of Regent Square, which is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The project location is adjacent to a park and trail network that extends throughout Pittsburgh, connecting Regent Square actively to neighboring communities.
The design intends to bring together community, learning, and a connection with nature. The community center has an open floor plan that can be used in multiple ways by the community as multiple events occur. The "nucleus" of the building is its multi-purpose room that is surrounded by a support system of classrooms, activity rooms, and a kitchen area.
Indigo Village
Indigo Village is a design concept for a low-rise/high-density housing complex located near the University of Pittsburgh. The concept features green space and outdoor areas that push the community to spend time outdoors and connect with one another. Since the site is located near campus, the idea of pocket parks and small gathering places is prevelant in this design.
The complex is made up of 5 separate buildings that contain 2-3 units each that range from 1-2 bedrooms. Each have a kitchen, a living area, and outdoor access. The complex also has a main lobby building that can double as a community gathering space and dining area.
